OVERVIEW

Lightweight Brushcutter

With its high power to weight ratio, this 33cc Petrol Grass Trimmer is easy to handle and delivers optimum performance. It is perfectly suited for small to medium scale garden clear outs as well as everyday lawn maintenance and edging. A 2-Stroke Air-Cooled Engine delivers up to 1.2 horsepower of torque, and a choice of heavy-duty cutting blade or nylon spool head offers versatility and multi-functionality.

At 5 metres in length, the nylon cutter spool will stand the test of time and neaten up those lawn edges with ease. The twin-line, three-toothed heavy-duty cutting blade attaches easily and will make light work of stubborn roots and overgrown weeds.

As illustrated by the customer reviews of this product, it is very quick and straightforward to assemble and starts up easily, every time. Out of the box, you get the petrol base unit, trimmer shaft, nylon spool cutter, 3-tooth heavy-duty blade, protective guard, mixing bottle, 5-piece toolkit with combination spanner, and instruction manual.

It is important to mix the recommended 25:1 ratio split of fuel to oil, when filling the tank, to ensure the optimum performance and longevity of your grass trimmer.

For great performance and durability at an affordable price, the Trueshopping 33cc Petrol Grass Trimmer is a great pick. For professional gardeners and industrial use, you may want to consider one of the more powerful grass trimmers in our range, but for general garden tidying and maintenance, this 33cc model will do just the job.

Never previously having assembled and used a Petrol Strimmer / Brush Cutter I had serious reservations about how the appliance could actually function, there being no visible drive connection at the point of attaching the engine unit to the drive shaft. I was concerned that perhaps certain components had been reverse packed for shipping and that any attempts to start the engine without proper assembly would cause irreparable damage. I called the helpline and was directed to better visual aids but my original fear was still not answered. I need not have worried, the drive is performed by a Automatic Centrifugal Clutch. Of course, I should have known this: most people would! This brings me on to the most serious criticism and that is the truly useless Instruction Manual. However, it is working (it started first time) and it is a joy to use and is really effective. Good quality / value for the price.

Solid tool for the job

Full clear instructions included, as described requires some assembly which involves putting the handle bars on. The guard and spool/blade all straight forward with the supplied tools, the trickiest bit is connecting the throttle cable which if you read it first should help you along the way. Total assembly took about an hour, there is a contradiction in the manual over the petrol/oil mixture it suggests both 25:1 or 40:1. I used the latter which seemed fine, it started on the second pull and then I went to work on nettles and brambles with the spool which easily managed the job, the bump feed seemed a bit hit and miss, but overall it seems like a good powerful piece of kit for the money.

Value for money

Easy assemble capable machine. 3rd one I have bought for my family members. Go on.........buy yourself one!!

Great piece of kit

Brought buy far one of the cheapest on the market, received it in less then 24hrs. Easy to build, filled up with fuel and started first time, works very well really please. One really picky thing it's a little heavy, I'm 6ft and 16 stone still found it a little heavy. But a really good first Trueshopping.co.uk purchase.

Purchased this machine 18 months ago brilliant as strimmer also brush cutter. I look after 6 gardens as well as my own does the job well with time to spare.

A very good machine easy to assemble and use.

Easy to assemble and start. Wanted it for brush cutting and does the job well.

Does the job

This strimmer is less than half the price of 'brand' rivals. It was relatively easy to assemble and works well (a bit of vibration which would be uncomfortable if I used it all day). The online videos certainly make the assembly task easier and other things like changing the cord. It started second pull on the starter cord which is pretty good for a 2 stroke.

I don't do a lot of strimming but needed something to tackle a serious jungle in a neighbour's garden, including brambles and saplings. It certainly has done that.

Of course the acid test is how it does next year when I have to do it all again, and the year after etc.

Excellent!

I bought this machine a few weeks ago. I have used it to 3 or 4 times to strim areas of up to 1/2 acre of grass and light brush and it worked very well each time.

It went together fairly easily. It starts promptly. It is powerful and balanced. Does not overly vibrate. No problems with it cutting out.

Switches and some components are basic but its a budget machine and they do their job well enough.

Nb. I did have the foresight to buy an extra strimmer head as they don't look that robust and one did break but Trueshopping sorted out a replacement. (So do buy an extra head and it also saves time if you have a spare, wound with line, ready to go anyway).

I recommended the 26cc model to a work colleague who has an average sized garden. They bought one and they seam happy with theirs as well.

Overall its a good machine and worth the money. I have given it 5 stars (even though the strimmer head broke) because I based my review on its price and quality grouping and and not against a Stihl or a Huskie.

This tool is a steal, great engine easy to use.

Only down side to this tool is the fuel line that degrades after a couple of years of use and needs replacing. Takes 15mins to do so and then all is right as rain again.

Stop considering and buy one, you will be very happy with it.
