The wood used in this bench is plantation grown: Cunningham Lancelota (Chinese Fir). This wood is widely known for its durability and resistance to decay, often being used for decking and outdoor situations where longevity & durability is necessary.
Though, as timber is a natural product, to retain its fantastic looks for many years to come, we do recommend the table is treated with a 'leading brand' of preservative at the end of each season.

Wonderful product! To be a two seater which turns into a table and four seats, awesome! I think that it's a bargain! If space is at a premium, this is for you! Easy to put together! Also delivery was so quick, thank you.

What an amazing product! It looks great, the Chinese fir smells fantastic and it is really easy to convert from a bench seat to a picnic bench.
When it arrived, the box was well packed against damage, and all the pieces were finished to a high standard - no sanding needed - and all the holes lined up properly. Putting it together took a leisurely hour and was very straightforward, particularly because many of the fiddly bits were pre-assembled. The diagrams, however, could have been rather larger.
The bench is very robust and surprisingly light in weight, making it easy to mover around the garden and convert from seat to table, which seats four comfortably.
I recommend this product without reservation.
