What do you need to know about Egg-O?
The idea for Egg-O was borrowed from Australia's Aborigines. Design and concept were developed by Norbert Spanninger and Herbert Ernst, both from Vienna, Austria.
How does Egg-O work?
Turn the lid and open it, take chilled wine from your fridge and slide the lid over the bottle's neck, turn the lid a little so that the elastic lamellae (no, we didn't know what that was either - but it's obvious when you look!) adapt to the shape of the wine bottle. Place wine bottle into the Egg-O. The lid clicks into place - you'll hear a soft clicking sound. You're done! Simple!

It keeps wine chilled for significantly longer than other wine coolers. It's the lid that makes all the difference!
Egg-O sports a unique handle and lets you serve wine with the bottle still inside the cooler.
No more drops of water or wet hands.
Egg-O's "eggoid" shape allows for convenient transport of chilled wine bottles, for instance, on your way to a picnic, barbecue or beach party or maybe as the perfect companion when out on a boat or in a camper home, and, let's face it, it would work pretty well out on the patio or even when sitting watching TV. If, like us, you like a glass of wine in front of the TV how many times do you have to get up and go to the fridge for a refill?
Which bottles does Egg-O like?
Egg-O is undemanding for sure, but it can get a little fussy now and then. There are a few (for instance bottles of Styrian Junker Wine or unusually tall bottles) which will not fit. Sometimes this will do the trick: Simply remove the rubber base to instantly create more room for your favourite bottle. In case you want to enjoy Champagne-style sparkling wine, not all bottles will fit into Egg-O!

What Egg-O really loves.
Enjoying good wine, both white and red. Lots of people. Plenty of fresh air. The smell of green grass. The fragrance of barbecued meat and vegetables.
