This beautifully crafted Steamer Chair is reminiscent of the loungers used on the Grand Ocean liners.

Made from Shorea Hardwood, this Steamer Chair is perfect for lounging on the patio, terrace by the pool or simply in the garden on warm, sultry summer days.

The 'Ambleside' Steamer chair is constructed from Shorea wood sourced from government managed plantations in Malaysia.

Outdoor furniture that is made with wood from the Shorea wood species will have longevity. This particular wood is especially resilient against infestations from bugs as well as the elements of decay. During the first season, Shorea wood will hold the original stain. Afterwards, it will take on a nice silver-grey tone. You can stave off this aged look for a while by using Teak oil on your Shorea outdoor furnishings at least once per season. With minimal care these chairs will last for many years.
