This powerful petrol brushcutter/strimmer is not only extremely versatile, but easy to operate and maintain and puts a lot of its more expensive rivals to shame with its ability. With its twin line and 3 toothed cutting blade, the Trueshopping Petrol Strimmer is just right to trim along the edges of lawn, as well as being ideal for professional clean-up jobs, including clearing out tough weeds and bushes In addition, the Trueshopping Petrol Brushcutter has a high power to weight ratio and easily starts in all weathers. It also boasts maximum efficiency, high torque and rapid acceleration. The machine features an ergonomic harness, which spreads the load, improving comfort and efficiency for the user, and a bike-style handlebar that is angled relative to the shaft, to prevent an uneven load being placed on the user's back.
Took 3 deliveries and almost a week to receive (advertise next day) due to 2 deliveries of damaged/bent goods. Instructions not too good and harness cheap. Will need replacing.
Customer service could do with being more customer focused as not keen to apologise for the repeated faulty goods delivered and then came up with excuses NOT to honour their price promise when their own identical product, found elsewhere at lower price!!
Product ok, average quality. No way is it Sthil quality as claimed by the mrrp. Time will tell if it is reliable etc. Started quickly and did the job for which it was purchased.
My experience suggest future caution dealing with Trueshopping.
this strimmer is by far the best i have used wizzed through my large garden in no time halved the time it would have normally taken me and gave a much neater cut than other strimmers i have used started first time no problem i am very pleased with this purchase cant recommend it enough buy it you wont regret it
Very powerful and smooth when starting or using it nice qaulity , and ideal both as a strimmer or brush cutter gearbox is is good and the engine and shaft are quite robust and safe to use can't say i've had any trouble at all and an important piece of kit for any keen gardener or professional defiantly would recommend.
Took my time to put it altogether but quite simple. Couldn't wait to get it going and wot a machine!!!! Very pleased
Easy to start, quiet, extremely good value, well equipped, instruction booklet covers everything needed to know.
Self feed at head saves time.Quality of machine is excellent and easy to clam
I have looked at the pictures of this strimmer on the internet and it looks to be a fine, thoroughbread machine. I feel it would cut grass with ease, and even thicker stuff probably.
Great product, great price. Easy to assemble and works brilliantly.
This machine went together very easy started after a couple of pulls on cord, first time starting thereafter used on a large overgrowen grass embankment with weeds and brambles coped no bother at all .
Have used to trim edges of lawn with ease and have done a large area of grass cutting before using lawnmower satisfied with product.
This is an excellent machine at a very good price. The instruction manual was a bit confusing but we got there in the end using the photos. The harness takes a bit of getting used to but with a few adjustments as we go along with it I'm sure we can get a good fit. The machine is very robust and gives an excellent cut.
Great product. Very happy indeed, Thank you
Good al round strimmer/brush cutter for a reasonable price. Instruction book not really required to put together as it's easier just to work it out. Perhaps a small grease gun could be included in the package so that grease nipples at bearings could be done.
instructions bit poor for assembly .but ok not enough pictures for me. started up eazzy. worked well 6 min's to do all strimming that did take me 45 with battery strimmer. got it's own petrol mixer bottle included.
I don't claim to be a powertool or DIY expert, but I did find this a little tricky to set up, the instructions are appalling. Numbers in the pictures don't correspond to numbers on the list, instructions aren't clear, some bits which are supposedly pre assembled actually are not, and some bits (like how to attach the engine!!) are not included at all, tho that bit was straightforward. Tools it comes with are predictably crap.
However, once I had got it all together, it did start reasonably easily. It does need a bit of strength and my wife struggles to start it.
Very smoky to begin with but has lots of power and did a great job on our allotment. It's quite heavy, the strap isn't great so I'll look to replace that, I was tired after half an hour of using it. I would recommend it as a product if you're confident with self assembly and 2 stroke engines!
Delivery was quick and efficient.
Product is very good. However the assembly instuctions are not idiot proof. Take care to fit the nylon cord cutter properly on the gaurd.
Bought as Christmas present so too early to comment on performance and longevity.
very easy to put together and had it all up and running in about 30 minutes.
Defiantly would recommend
It was comparatively easy to assemble, although a slightly better tool kit would help. A word of caution: when you get to the bit about unscrewing the nut at the bottom their instructions were a little misleading. It suggests that you turn the nut anti-clockwise. Er, it's a left hand thread (as are all straight-shaft strimmers) so you need to turn it clockwise.
A previous correspondent complained that the strap buckle broke on day 1. Mine lasted until day 4. However a reef knot sorted it and, since no one else is going to use mine, it'll always be the right length. May get a man-sized buckle one day but who cares?
The important thing is that it works as well as I could possibly have hoped and I'm delighted with it.
Oh and... The Trueshopping specification says it's important to use the right petrol/oil mix - 25:1 The hand book says it's important to use 40:1 Answer, use 25:1 for 3 or 4 goes then 40:1 (if you want. 40:1 worked for me from the beginning)
very powerful piece of kit, relativaly easy to assemble, the harness supplied could be much better a double harness for instance would be a lot more comfortable, easy to start, and its is easy to handle just had a couple of goes and once you got the lenght of the harness sorted out it was effortless to swing about and move into awkward places
